Our Vision Statement
At Ladybridge Primary School, we create an inclusive, respectful environment where every child is valued, supported and encouraged to thrive. We celebrate diversity and promote fairness, empathy, tolerance and mutual respect, while embedding SMSC development, British Values and the 9 Protected Characteristics throughout our curriculum and school culture.
We provide every pupil with a broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum, using adaptive teaching and Ordinarily Available Inclusive Provision to remove barriers, provide appropriate challenge and develop confident, independent learners. Our carefully sequenced curriculum builds on prior learning, making lessons meaningful, engaging and purposeful while nurturing curiosity, responsibility and a love of learning.
Oracy is central to every lesson, enabling pupils to articulate ideas, listen critically, discuss respectfully and develop their thinking. Through this approach, we prepare our pupils to become confident, respectful and articulate individuals who are ready to reach their full potential academically, spiritually, emotionally, socially and physically.
Our Motto and Core Values
Our motto, ‘Be the best that you can be,’ reflects our commitment to high aspirations for every pupil. We ensure all children are supported and challenged to thrive, regardless of their starting point.
Our three core values, Resilience, Respect and Responsibility, are explicitly taught, modelled and embedded throughout school life. They guide both learning and personal development, helping pupils grow into confident, compassionate and responsible individuals.
Resilience
We adapt our teaching, maintain high expectations and encourage pupils to embrace challenges, learn from mistakes and persevere, developing the confidence and growth mindset to overcome barriers.
Respect
We value every individual and model inclusive, compassionate behaviour. Pupils learn to respect themselves and others, listen carefully, value diversity and build positive relationships within a safe and welcoming community.
Responsibility
We take responsibility for providing a high-quality education, safeguarding pupils and removing barriers to learning. Pupils are encouraged to take ownership of their learning, choices and behaviour, developing independence, self-motivation and pride in their achievements.
Curriculum Intention, Implementation and Impact
Intent
At Ladybridge Primary School, Personal Development, Wellbeing and Academic Excellence are at the heart of our ambitious, inclusive curriculum. Guided by our motto, ‘Be the best that you can be,’ we aim for every child to thrive, whatever their starting point or background. Our curriculum develops deep knowledge alongside Resilience, Respect and Responsibility, preparing pupils to become confident, capable and compassionate members of the wider world.
Implementation
We deliver our curriculum through high-quality, inclusive teaching that removes barriers and provides appropriate challenge for every learner. Adaptive teaching, Ordinarily Available Inclusive Provision and purposeful scaffolding promote both progress and independence. Oracy, active learning, collaboration and questioning are embedded across lessons, while carefully sequenced learning builds on prior knowledge, strengthens retention and deepens understanding.
Impact
Our curriculum develops articulate, confident, resilient and responsible learners who value diversity and are ready for life beyond Ladybridge. Pupils demonstrate a love of learning, use rich vocabulary, make connections across subjects and apply their knowledge confidently. All pupils make strong progress from their starting points, with appropriate support, challenge and opportunities for depth and mastery enabling every child to reach their potential.
