Overviews

At Ladybridge Primary School, we believe collaboration is key; this includes teaching staff.  We have mapped out our curriculum to ensure coverage and progression of the National Curriculum throughout each year group.  Our carefully designed wider curriculum (that which is beyond English and Mathematics) is delivered through a cyclic approach, allowing staff and pupils in each key stage to have a common ground about their learning, creating a 'buzz' between the different classes.  In EYFS and Key Stage 1, pupils learn on a 2 year cycle and in Key Stage 2, a 4 year cycle.

Every half term, class teachers produce a more detailed plan of how different Maths and English units will be studied and what questions and subjects the Learning Challenge Curriculum will cover. You can find these plans in the year group folders under planning.

In 2022-2023, EYFS and Key Stage 1 will be using Cycle B, and Key Stage 2 will also be using Cycle B.

You will find the overviews for current and past cycles for each year group by clicking on the links below.
